EMPLOYMENT LAW: Unemployment Rate in Sacramento Expected to Remain High Until 2015

July29,2011

Sacramento - A forecast from the University of the Pacific (UOP) showed that the unemployment rate in the city is expected to remain high until the year 2015.

According to researchers, the city’s 12.3 percent unemployment rate will not be lower than 10 percent during the period. Although there are good developments in the economy, it will not be able to quickly lessen the number of people without a job, said UOP.

Meanwhile, UOP stated that during the first quarter of 2014, the 11.8 percent unemployment rate in California may decrease to around 9.9 percent.
