EMPLOYMENT LAW: Teacher Layoffs to be Reduced
February 24, 2010
Santa Ana – The Santa Ana Unified trustees are confident that the number of teachers that will receive layoff notices will be reduced to less than a hundred, reports said.
Leaves of absences, early retirements, and other factors can reduce the number of teachers that was earlier predicted to lose their jobs.
The district voted Tuesday that they will be eliminating about 126 teachers in order to cut down a predicted $46.9 million budget cut.
