EMPLOYMENT LAW: Steven Seagal Sued for Sexual Harassment and Female Trafficking

April 12, 2010

Los Angeles – Hollywood action star Steven Seagal is being sued by his personal assistant for alleged sexual harassment and female trafficking.

According to the lawsuit, 23-year-old former model Kayden Nguyen was hired by Seagal to be his personal assistant for his A & E reality show “Steven Seagal: Lawman.”

However, as soon as she arrived in New Orleans from Los Angeles to report for work, she discovered that Seagal has been keeping two young female Russian ‘attendants’ on staff who were available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Nguyen alleges that one of the ‘attendants’ recently left and she was supposed to fill the position instead of the executive assistant post.

She claims that the sexual harassment started as soon as she arrived for work and that the Under Siege star treated her as a sex toy.

Seagal allegedly pushed his hands under her skirt, tried fondling her breasts and forced his hands down her pants.

According to the lawsuit, Nguyen complained the next morning but no action was taken to correct the situation, although it was not clear who she complained to.

The next day, Seagal apparently did it again; she claimed that she was sexually assaulted and was forced to take illegal pills.

Nguyen said that there were more sexual assaults that followed and claimed that Seagal even said that his wife wouldn’t mind if they had a sexual relationship.

Aside from sexual harassment and illegal trafficking, Nguyen is also suing Seagal for failure to prevent sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and false representation about employment.

She is seeking more than $3 million in damages.

So far, Seagal and his representatives have not released any comment about the lawsuit.
