Sheen Charged $100 Million Suit against Warner Bros., Chuck Lorre
March 11, 2011
Santa Monica – After being terminated from his television show, “Two and a Half Men,” Charlie Sheen has brought a $100 million lawsuit against Chuck Lorre and his production company, Warner Bros, WB Studio Enterprises Inc. and the show’s executive producer.
Sheen filed the lawsuit, with his lawyer Martin Singer, before the Santa Monica Superior Court last Thursday morning. Sheen insisted that he was terminated from the show mainly because of his criticisms against Lorre.
Warner Bros. replied that the reason behind the termination is that Sheen has become a liability on the program due to his “erratic life” outside the show that affected his performance.
The studio said that Mr. Sheen’s conduct and condition is preventing him to do his duties, thus, urging them to suspend and later terminate him.
Atty. Singer responded that Sheen has complying with his contract and all set to get back to work after the program has been suspended for his substance-abuse treatment.
