DISCRIMINATION: Sex Discrimination Alleged by County Employees

July 27, 2010

El Dorado Hills – Three female employees from El Dorado County Sheriff's Community Service Officers has recently filed a lawsuit against the department for the alleged sex discrimination that they suffered, reports said.

The three officers, Stacie Walls, Nicole Sahaj-Myers and Jona Scher, said that they were targeted by their male co-workers because of their gender.

Walls claims that they were harassed by being asked inappropriate questions and were given unreasonable orders.

In the 22-page filing, Scher also claims that Lieutenant Kevin House made her sit in front of him as he discusses his sexual relationship with his ex-wife.

The recent lawsuit came a month after another female deputy also sued the department and alleged that women, especially those who are single, were harassed and subjected to unreasonable disciplinary actions.
