EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION: Racial Discrimination Suit Filed Against Georgia Military College

January 23, 2011

Columbus, Georgia – A federal racial discrimination lawsuit has been filed against Georgia Military College in last Thursday by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in behalf of Solomon Mosley at the US District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.

The EEOC alleged that Mosley, a groundskeeper for the school, was subjected to a racially-hostile work environment for four years beginning around January 2003.

The federal agency also claimed that the college failed to take reasonable actions to prevent the offensive racial conduct performed against Mosley.

The EEOC is seeking compensation for Mosley and will be seeking ways to prevent similar incidents of discrimination in the future.

Georgia Military College has not made a comment on the lawsuit as they have not received the notification about the lawsuit yet.
