RETALIATION, SEX DISCRIMINATION: North Dakota Construction Company Settles EEOC Retaliation and Sexual Harassment Suit

Albuquerque Phoenix- Fisher Sand Gravel has agreed to pay around $150,000 to settle a retaliation and sexual harassment suit filed against it by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
The agency sued the North Dakota-based highway construction company after two female employees were allegedly subjected to sexual harassment on the hands of their supervisor and one them was terminated after complaining to a company superintendent.
Aside from paying the aggrieved parties, the company also agreed to educate New Mexico workers regarding rules on discrimination. It will also study and revise company rules which cover sexual harassment.
In addition, the company was required to choose an investigative officer who will be required to handle worker complaints, concerns, and questions regarding sexual harassment.
