EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION: Milwaukee Metal Parts Manufacturer Sued for Disability Discrimination Violations

August 18, 2011

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Milwaukee-based Rexnord Industries LLC, a metal parts manufacturer is facing alleged discrimination charges after the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a lawsuit Thursday, reports said.

According to the lawsuit, a female employee was suffering from migraine headaches and was regarded by the company as having a seizure disorder. The company fired her after she twice became ill at work.

As a result, the worker filed a complaint with the EEOC for violation of the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and a lawsuit was brought against the company.

The company has not responded to the charges yet.
