LABOR LAW: Labor Department Fines Chuck E. Cheese’s for Violating Child Labor Laws

San Francisco – Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurants doing business in San Francisco Bay Area have been required by the US Department of Labor (DOL) to pay $28,000 as fine for violating child labor laws, reports said.

Nine restaurants of Chuck E. Cheese’s were determined to have allowed their teenage workers to operate trash compactors, violating federal child labor laws.

According to a report, Chuck E. Cheese’s pizza place in Rohnert Park has allegedly even allowed its minor employees to operate dough mixers.

DOL has asked the company to pay civil penalties for violating labor laws, reports added.
