EMPLOYMENT LAW: Jury Orders Sex Doll Maker to Pay $300K to Former Employer
April 30, 2010
Vista – A sex doll maker was recently ordered by a San Diego County jury to pay up around $300,000 to his former employer after allegations that he left the company and created a rival sex doll company, reports said.
Matt Krivicke was said to have violated provisions of his employment contract with Abyss Creations LLC by stealing materials and ideas to establish his own business, the Knighthorse LLC, which also makes full-scale sex dolls.
Krivicke initially filed a lawsuit against Abyss last year to claim a portion of its profits after he was laid off from the company in 2008.
Abyss then sued Krivicke for allegedly taking materials and data from the company to make sex dolls Yvette and Adam. Abyss is reportedly planning to ask for a court order that will stop the sales of the sex dolls.
