May 11, 2011
Roseville– The city has recently agreed to pay $490,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by three former police officers who alleged that they were discriminated for being gay or perceived to be gay.
In the 2010 discrimination suit, the victims claimed that senior officer of the police department habitually and openly mocked their preference and those who are believed to be homosexual.
Neither party can discuss the terms of the agreement as specified in the nine-page settlement.
