EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION: Foster Farms Facing Pregnancy Discrimination Case

July 11, 2010

Livingston - A former employee of Foster Farms, a poultry company, has sued the company for wrongful termination due to her pregnancy.

According to reports, Sara Supple was fired by the poultry company because of problems concerning her time cards.

However, the former employee said she was not given a warning about the issue.

Supple approached the HR representative, Liz Wickman, and asked about pregnancy benefits. She was told that it was too early to inquire about this issue and she should come back after some time, said her attorney, Chad Snyder.

After two to three hours, she was informed by Wickman and her immediate manager, Randy Litz about her time card violations. She was suspended while the company conducts an investigation.

Reports said Supple was terminated last May 11 due to the results of the investigation.
