EMPLOYMENT LAW: Facebook Adds 182k Jobs, $12.9 Billion for US Labor

Maryland- Facebook, the leading social networking site, has opened at least 182,000 jobs and generated at least $12.9 billion in contribution for the economy of United States.

According to University of Maryland studies, Facebook has created 182,000 direct and indirect jobs from its applications. The employment opportunities have provided more than $12.9 billion worth of salary and benefits. The robust information technology of Facebook has helped United States reduce the 6 million unemployed persons in 2011.

The Facebook app industry growth has stemmed from information technology companies and 2.5 million websites which partnered with Facebook to reach more than 250 million online users. Businesses have also integrated the popular "Like" button of Facebook into their marketing campaigns to attract more customers, reports said.

Reports said the trend on Facebook app ecosystem is expected to influence more companies and generate more income for the IT sector. Its labor boost for the country will ease hundred thousands more unemployeds for the upcoming year.
