EMPLOYMENT HARASSMENT: EEOC Helps Rochester Harassment Victims Get Compensation
May 05, 2010
Rochester, Cleveland – The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced Wednesday that the former workers of Everdry Marketing and Management each received compensation for the harassment and maltreatment they went through.
The company reportedly paid more than $500,000 in damages to the 13 victims, who were mostly teenagers, working as telemarketers for the company. The victims claimed and proved that they were physically and verbally abused by their male managers.
The case was decided in 2006 against Everydry who was initially ordered to pay $470,000. The payment was not made immediately as Everydry appealed their case.
