EEOC Files Pregnancy Discrimination Lawsuit against Wild Beaver Saloon

March 21, 2011

Indianapolis – The U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission has filed charges against Wild Beaver Saloon for terminating a female bartender due to her pregnancy.

The lawsuit, filed March 16, 2011, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Indianapolis Division stated that the company has committed violation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibiting gender and pregnancy discrimination.

If proven guilty, company may be ordered to pay compensatory and punitive damages as well as permanent injunction to stop them from implementing any other discriminative employment procedure.
