EMPLOYMANT LAW: Cobra Settles Sexual Harassment Suit for $125,000

Delray Beach, Florida – A settlement has been reached to end a sexual harassment lawsuit against Florida based Cobra Pavers & Engineering, Inc. and Cobra Construction, Inc.
The announcement was recently made by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which states that the company has agreed to pay $125,000 to settle the lawsuit.
According to the lawsuit, female employees were subjected to a sexually hostile working environment by managers of the company.
The complained actions of the managers include constant telling of sexual exploits, derogatory remarks and other sexual comments.
Aside from the monetary compensation, Cobra is also required to revise their existing sexual harassment policies, provide training to managers and supervisors, and report all sexual harassment complaints to the EEOC biannually.
A notice of the settlement is required to be posted on the premises of the company as well.
