EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION: Assisted Living Facility Agrees to $30,000 Settlement for Discrimination Suit

Dallas, Texas – Frankston Assisted Living Facility has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by the EEOC after they fired a pregnant housekeeper after finding out her condition, reports said.
Myesha Kerr was working as a housekeeper when she was fired by her supervisor at the Murphy Healthcare III LLC owned and operated facility. The supervisor fears that Kerr might injure herself if she continues to work with the assisted living facility.
Murphy Healthcare has agreed to pay Kerr a sum of $30,000 and has agreed to implement programs and practices that will prohibit discrimination in the workplace.
