Around 200 Disney Employees in Anaheim to lose Job by May

Anaheim -- Walt Disney Co. has filed a notice with the Employment Development Department regarding the first batch of employees that they will be cutting in its Disneyland Resort as a part of the company’s downsizing.

The said layoffs would be leaving around 200 workers unemployed.

The state filing listed 66 jobs that would be vacated by May 26 in Disney Destinations LLC aside from 96 others that would be cut in Walt Disney World Co. by the end of May.

No details were released regarding specific positions affected in the massive layoffs.

The recent layoffs are connected with the 1,900 workers that the company announced to cut in early April.
